Established in 1973, Bywater Gas is a family run business based in Chapel-en-le-Frith. We have a fleet of vehicles covering the heart of the Peak District and over county borders, supplying both bulk and bottled gas for domestic and industrial use.

Collecting direct from the refinery means we can deliver straight to your door for a competitive price.

Why use LPG?

LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) is a clean burning, energy efficient fuel. With low carbon and low pollution this means LPG is an excellent environmental choice against other traditional fuel sources. Its versatility comes from it being easily transported to remote areas with minimal infrastructure requirements by the end user. LPG’s multiple uses include heating, cooking, powering and recreation. This myriad of uses coupled with its cleanliness and controllability make it the perfect choice for the environmentally conscious.

Bulk Propane Gas

Our first bulk gas delivery was in 1982 and since then we haven’t stopped. With a variety of vehicle sizes, we can deliver to hard-to-reach domestic properties as well as servicing larger commercial customers such as breweries and caravan parks.

Bulk Gas Tanks

Here at Bywater Gas, we install both above and below ground tanks. There are a variety of sizes available, starting at 1200 litres, which are suitable for multiple settings such as domestic, commercial and industrial properties.

If you currently have no gas supply at all, we offer a free no obligation site survey. This assesses your property requirements including finding a suitable position for tank installation. We provide a competitive quote for the whole installation process by our Gas Safe registered engineers.

Switching Bulk Gas Suppliers

If you are an existing LPG user and want to change supplier it has never been easier. Just contact us and book a no obligation site consultation. Simply complete the incoming Supplier Switch Notice and we take care of the rest.

You are eligible to change after two years with your current supplier. If you have just moved into a property which has a bulk gas supply you are able to choose your preferred supplier.

Gas Cylinders

We offer a wide range of sizes of Propane and Butane bottled gas cylinders. On new cylinder purchases there is a hire charge.
• 47kg propane – central heating and industrial applications
• 18kg fork lift truck cylinders
• 19kg, 11kg or 6kg propane – for cooking and leisure
• 11kg or 6kg patio gas – for barbecues and patio heaters
• 13kg or 7kg butane – for portable indoor heaters
• Campingaz and small disposable cartridges – for camping

If you currently have no gas supply at all, we offer a free no obligation site survey. We provide a competitive quote for the whole installation process including central heating systems, gas fires and cookers. All work is undertaken by our own Gas Safe registered engineers.

Air Products Industrial Gases

As an Air Products Agent we supply gases for a range of uses to both commercial and private customers. We offer the following:

Delivery or collection service
Full range of traditional welding gases, cutting and heating and food applications.
Integra cylinder range offering users added convenience with built-in regulators, quick fit connections and contents gauge

Gas Delivery Area

At Bywater Gas we offer a free delivery service on our cylinders and bulk gas. From our base in Buxton, Derbyshire, we deliver to all corners of the High Peak and across the borders into Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Staffordshire, and Yorkshire.
Deliveries are planned and organised daily by our team of drivers who offer a friendly service 6 days a week all year round.
You can also collect cylinders from Bywaters, our appliance showroom in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
